Lachesis will give them their new personalized communicators after requesting that they STATE YOUR NAME, HERO, but there might be the occasional insult! Possibly vuvuzela sounds. There is also particularly insipid elevator music playing in the background constantly, like so.

guys, turn down your thoughts and impatient feelings. he can hear them. it's very oppressive.

he's waiting with a very uncomfortable look and shrugged-up posture, trying to focus on something less vibrant or active. like a brick. or a floor tile.

maybe he should leave and wait. come back when there's no one else there.

but if he listens hard enough at intervals, maybe he can find a friend. that would help. that would help a lot.]

[ kanaya had been trying to pass the time by doing design sketches, but that could only keep her interest for so long, especially with so many people around. she wouldn't mind socializing a bit, except she'd promised to keep everyone else's place in line. nonetheless, she scanned the crowd for familiar faces, and caught sight of a very uncomfortable blue

she can't leave her spot, but leaving him there doesn't seems right, either. finally, she decides bridge a portal between the two of them, wrapping the invisible threads to anchor it between her hand and elbow. she doesn't actually cross it, but it does effectively make it appear as though the space between them has suddenly collapsed in on itself, so a conversation would be easy to accomplish this way. she looks worried ]

[her sudden proximity does come as a surprise, shaking him out of posture and giving her a wide-eyed look at first. it softens, nearing relief when he recognizes her. it's still flecked with confusion; he didn't detect her coming right away, after all.]

Kanaya... [a slight pause. what was her question?

ah. he nods once.] Yes. I'm fine. It's only for a little while.

It's already surpassed my expectations in length, unfortunately. I imagine it can only be worse for these others in attendance.

[ she takes a glance around at the crowd once more, her portal allowing her to see out past him now, then back to him with a frown ] The impatience and certain fussiness must provide an extreme difficulty for you!

[he shakes his head a little, posture straightening ever-slightly.] It's only uncomfortable for what the overall atmosphere happens to be...but it could be far worse, and I'm glad it's not. Given how many hostile people are gathered here all at once...[yeah. a lot worse. he's not going to complain.]

[ we'll say that this takes place before eridan finds her, so that a) she is not covered in purple ink, and b) she can think about how glad she is not to have encountered him or gamzee yet when blue mentions "hostile people". but he is going to suddenly catch a lot of bitterness welling up in her ]

Well, one should hope that this very density of individuals would deter against any such violence from taking place.

his gaze is considering, gauging. all of his attention is, for the moment, focusing on her as opposed to the impatient surroundings; it pushes all that noise into the background, which is much better.]

As much as the chance is there...I've seen and felt many here who would be in the mindset to stop it. [he breaks focus for a moment to glance around.] Some of the powers here feel strange...but not terrible.

[so verbose. it was strange to start, but it's become endearing, since it's Kanaya's quirk. Blue's smile is small, but fond.]

It's continued largely uneventfully. With perhaps only one or two bumps in the road.

[ she pauses a moment, pursing her lips before she continues ] I imagine you'll have seen mention on the Network of one Gamzee Makara.

[a lengthy pause, gauging both her feeling on the matter and recalling what little he knows.

he hurt someone very important to him, he knows that much.]

He's...one of ours. [ she's always apprehensive about admitting this fact, out of fear of how it will reflect on the rest of the trolls to the person she's speaking to. but, at the same time, it's a responsibility she can't simply wipe away ]

You'll be aware already of his actions, I imagine. He was transferred out of the correctional detainment facility and into another location. My knowledge of mental institutions is limited, as there wasn't particularly any sort of equivalent on Alternia. But Matthew...Murdock, I mean, if you may be familiar with him, was rather distressed with the news.

He's a human legislacerator, so I expect his knowledge on these matters will be far more comprehensive than mine.

[he frowns faintly as he listens, turning it all over in his head. his brow starts to furrow further at the name Murdock, getting that nagging feeling of something he ought to know...]

I know him...[a slight pause, frowning deeper.] Or knew him, once. Matthew Murdock. [yes. he recalls, bit by bit, nodding a little.] He came to help one of my very important friends...[looking her way again.]

I don't know many details, but I believe he would be a good help to you. He has a great deal of conviction.

Oh, I expect such already. He acts in the capacity of a lusus to my... [ ...well how do you phrase "moirail" to someone unfamiliar with the subject? without having to go into a full explanation of the quadrants as a result? "friend" seems so inadequate ] ...Well, it's a difficult concept to describe in a culturally broad manner. Consort may suffice?

Nonetheless, Matthew attempted to legally settle the matter following Gamzee's murder of her, [ which is something she's still...incredibly not cool with, but terezi doesn't want her getting revenge so she does her best to bottle all those feelings up ] which she thankfully recovered from, I should mention, but apparently this transferal is indicative of an obstacle to this attempt.

[his eyebrows raise from behind his bangs. more killing business...this Gamzee person seems less and less a savory person by each bit of information he gets.]

To keep him from harming others, you mean?

Potentially. As I said, I'm not privy to the entirety of the implications from this change, not knowing the full meaning behind such an establishment.

I do know that he didn't personally seem terribly satisfied with the change.

[ though she'd really rather just kill him herself and be done with it, but people complain when she acts out her more violent desires. sigh. ]

For the past violence he has caused, yes. At least since his moirallegiance was properly established.

All parties involved maintain Terezi's death to be an accident, however, and he refuses to accept even circumstantial responsibility for it.
