tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak somewhere in town
WHO: the NOHoPE patients and a few helpers (aka Trauma, Khisanth and Ghost)
WHERE: On a small bus on the way back from the big comm party
WHEN: February 1st, 2012
WARNINGS: ...violence?
SUMMARY: A bunch of inmates are in a bus and then a bunch of inmates will no longer be in a bus and three of them will no longer be inmates!
FORMAT: Whatever
The bus was small. Normally transportation was limited to one inmate at a time, but the reason was so sudden and unexpected, and for Complicated Legal Reasons, the staff at NOHoPE couldn’t get out of taking all their import inmates and shipping them off to pick up their communicators.
The security was lacking. Anyone could see it. But there was no getting around it. The way there was rather uneventful, it was so sudden that nobody could squeeze out of it. And at the porter building were so many inmates, so many of them heroes – escape was not an option.
The way back was the last chance for escape.
It was practically guaranteed to happen somehow.

That wasn't too motherfuckin' bad. Thought someone was going to try and murder us while we were up at there, but met some nice motherfuckers instead.

And he has the feeling that he doesn't want the guards transporting them to see her.
Trying to be sneaky enough so that no one sees her he gestures for her to come and hide in a better spot. Not that this is actually all that sneaky, the other inmates can totally see him still.]

No, for all of Jonathan's complaining, it was quite a pleasant excursion.

During all that time, he still hadn't managed to talk himself out of doing this. Those people were getting tortured, right? That's what the news said. They didn't deserve it. It wasn't their fault they were crazy, just like it wasn't his mom's fault. It was his fault, so he had make it right, at least a little bit.
He spots the bus coming from a few blocks away. Pulls his hands out of his coat pockets and rubs them together as he stumbles right into the (otherwise empty) street with knees that feel like jelly. He focuses on the bus driver, as it gets closer, through the steel and glass he can smell all the old fears.
He knows, instinctively, that when the man was five years old, he'd been bitten by a neighbor's big, mean rottweiler. Suddenly, Terry is that dog, only ten feet tall and frothing at the mouth. He charges the bus, barking so loud it echoes off the windows of the buildings around them, and just as the driver screams bloody murder and slams on the breaks, he turns and rams his flank hard into the front of the bus.

Time to pat the boy on the back later.
"Devil take the hindmost, gentlemen."

When the bus was smashed Gamzee was up and taking the best flash step he could, he was doing his best to defy what drugs had had pumping through his system. It still felt funny, but it got him much farther than just running for it would have.
Which unfortunately meant that he was a lot closer to some of the guards in back, and one of them wasn't completely disoriented. Gamzee couldn't block the guard's attack, but it didn't matter much if the smile on his face was any indication. Not that anyone behind him could see that expression.
"Let's get the motherfuck out of here," he hissed as he aimed to knock the guard out.
no subject
He phased in near the back of the bus, grabbing and tasing the nearest available guard, looking around with quick, birdlike motions for Gamzee.

I'd really like to take credit for this, but I won't.
