[The streets are slick with rain. N'cho had rounded his compatriots to this place, this broken space of bright lights and human noises. They're ready, they're prepared. They know they're taking their last breaths. N'icsor's betrayal had ensured that this would be their last stand, this would be their moment of glory.

He still loved them. Didn't he?

The burning neon clock above read three minutes to nine. Rain pelted the asphalt, civilians shouted and laughed, all oblivious to the theatre unfolding.

The Skrulls knew the imports were watching, waiting. Coming. They knew they had only had each other now.]

[ Somebody let an elephant into the middle of Times Square. And it's lowering its head and charging straight for Myrn, making a dull roaring noise like it intends to squish her like a pancake.

It does. ]

[Direct charge. Not very subtle. Myrn threw up a forcefield, an invisible wall. It was almost time. But not yet.]

[ Subtlety is an overrated concept, really.

Still, she crashes headfirst in the force field and sits down for a moment on her haunches, shaking her head. Urgh.

She lumbers back and begins circling the force field, poking with her trunk to try to figure out a way around. ]

[latrodectus]

[Well, it's a forcefield. It's a tricky thing to go around. But keeping it up requires the skrull to concentrate, and she is not very used to these powers.]

[xenabutagrizzly]

[ She keeps prodding it, searching for someplace it ends, and then just starts ramming it with her head. An elephant's skull is pretty thick. It can take some damage before she needs to start worrying about demorphing. ]

[latrodectus]

[Yes, why isn't the elephant going away? Well, if she can't discourage it with the walls, she'll attack. She has those electric pulsing gauntlets, after all. Of course, to fire them, she'll have to take down the forcefield, which she does.]

[ Rachel immediately takes the opportunity to charge directly at Myrn. This is the problem with elephant bodies, though. They take so long to get up real speed. ]
