[ He left the little pie monsters outside the shop, where the fourteen of them hid in various crevices and behind things, keeping a lookout. First sign of cop or cape? Julian'd make his getaway.

He was wearing a blue patterned hat, for once, and a long black coat. Without visible tattoos or NOHoPE uniform, it was practically incognito. Almost.

The important thing was pie. And today, on Pi day, he very much wanted pie. ]

[Shirley has decided, in the spirit of customer service, to stand by the door and greet customers as they walked in. Good press is always a benefit for a business!]

Thank you. [ He's not smiling, but his voice is pleasant. He gives a slight nod. ] I did hear that this is the place for pies, and today I would very much like some pie.

Oh! Yes, it is. Here's our menu!

[She hands over a copy of the menu, if that wasn't obvious, before pointing to a table somewhere.]

If you just take a seat, we'd be happy to take your order!

Thank you. [ He takes the menu and goes to sit down, absentmindedly pulling off his hat as he does so and revealing thin blue lettered tattoos. ]

[Okay, those are a little... scary...]

Do you, uh, have something you would like to eat?

[ He considers for a moment, tracing a long fingernail down the menu. ]

I would very much like three of these "cup pies" - the flavours do not matter - and one slice of ... Over the Moon pie.

Oh. Yes. Certainly. Just, um, one minute, please.

[She dashes to the kitchen, returning a fair few minutes later with the requested food.]

Here's your order. Would you like anything with your meal?

[ He thinks, grabbing a fork. ] Do you know anything about mathematics?

Um. Not really. I do have a calculator on my phone though.

Pity. It is of utmost importance to discuss Pi while eating pie. [ He takes a very small bite. ]

It is?

[She's not really sure why she's still here, but part of her thinks she shouldn't take her eye off the man with face tattoos.]

Of course. The day's obligations must be satisfied, even if it is a ridiculous holiday. [ He watches her now, continuing to eat very. small. bites. ]

Um. Well. Pi has something to do with circles, I think.

It is the ratio for the circumference to a circle's diameter, yes. 3.14.

Oh. Th- That's nice.
