it is now time for a musical interlude
WHO: Lots of people. YOU?
WHERE: A park. Not the central one! But a park all the same.
WHEN: 2-5ish or however long folks wanna stretch things out
WARNINGS: TBD
SUMMARY: Outdoor concert. PEOPLE GATHER. Music and company is enjoyed or reviled.
FORMAT: No (do what feels right)
It wasn't the City orchestra, but it was an orchestra. Local, aspiring to more esteemed ensembles, students of the arts. The idea, as their advertisement read, was to garner interest in their craft while lending the public a chance to donate what little they might have to help them better their facilities. Given the way property damage was passed out like beads on Mardi Gras, it was hardly a shocking thing to need help with.
The makeshift stage was open on all sides, giving people the chance to sit anywhere they wished to watch and listen. There was plenty of open space to sit or stand and mull about, and some volunteers had coolers full of iced water bottles to sell. And, of course, what nearby street vendors caught wind of the affair were conveniently closer than their usual routes might have dictated.
It was nice. Not quite the nonstop energy of bigger, sponsored events, but hardly a dull affair. Gershwin and Mozart engaged the young and the old with just as much vigor as any music the day had to offer...though that wouldn't stop once-in-a-while passers-by in their cars from jacking up their speaker volume to try and overpower the gentler sounds with a bit of electric bass, but that's the City for you.
[ 1. make threads.
2. reply to threads.
3. GET CR.
4. EVERYONE WINS
5. Ask mods if you intend to get fatally violent or want to do property damage, as per usual!
6. Oh yeah TAG YOURSELVES IN]

It's really quite the performance, isn't it?

still, he nods, smiling.] It's remarkable to me. I've never felt anything like it.

There is a point my equation may have neglected to consider as a viable factor. But creation and performance have their own inspirations driving them. I suppose I've simply never experienced them from so indirectly.
