WHO: Bruce Banner and Steve Rogers
WHERE: outside the Porter building
WHEN: right now
WARNINGS: PUNCHING. Then Hulking out.
SUMMARY: Bruce continues to have the worst damn luck ever. Steve continues to have the biggest case of douchebagginess.
FORMAT: Still bracket prose, still because of reasons.
[ So Bruce is just derping along - like he does - outside the Porter Building. He'd grabbed a late lunch and was walking back to his subway connection.
It's even a nice day out.

Little late for that.
His eyes start aching worse than the rest of him as they flash a sick green, then his veins start bulging as the transformation starts. His skin ripples and bulges as his skeleton shifts, his shirt tearing to reveal quickly greening skin. It happens quickly, the asphalt practically creaking under the sudden increase in mass.
The Hulk groans and growls through the last of the change, then snakes a hand out to get a crushing grip around Steve's leg, then jerks him upside down as he gets to his feet. He raises him up to roar in his face, and then spins in place and sends Cap soaring through the air in a throw that would make any Olympic team whistle.
Once he's standing still again, Hulk roars again after the offending patriot - and don't come back - then whips his head around only... There's nothing else. Which is confusing. Hulk is a simple sort, but he does remember and usually there's more than one person trying to hurt him. There were explosions and machines and tiny people all running around trying to get at him - and while there are people here...
They're just staring and running away.
...And he's not entirely sure what he's supposed to do now.

[ After staring sadly at his books for a few seconds, he ducks down into an alley and hurriedly shoves them into his backpack, glancing back to make sure no one is watching (and they're not, because everyone has started to flee in the opposite direction.) When he's sure it's clear, he starts scaling the wall, setting his backpack down in the corner and hoping no one comes up to the roof of this random Subway to take it, before shucking his regular clothes and tugging on his Spider-Man mask.
By the time he jumps all the way to where the sounds and panicking civilians are coming from, Captain America is long gone. And it's just... it's just the Hulk. He's giant and even scarier than Miles imagined, all the times he'd been unable to stop himself from thinking about what it would be like to fight the monsters that he sees on the news.
But he can't stop now, because he doesn't want to see the rest of Manhattan get flattened right after that huge war, so instead of turning around and running like he really, really wants to, he flings himself right at the giant mass of green monster from twenty stories up, in what is supposed to be a devastating flying tackle.
Only, the Hulk doesn't budge. Aaand now Miles is awkwardly sticking to his back. ] ---U-uh.

So he turns with a growl, arms up and fists ready as he prepares to roar a challenge before he gets down to smashing, but.
....
There's no one there. And that stops him short, the roar dying in his throat to be replaced by a confused grunt. He straightens to his full height and... Scratches the back of his head.
What is going on?? ]
