WHERE: Alex's workshop.
WHEN: A seemingly ordinary afternoon.

Since Thor had escaped (again) Loki was rather starved for equals. He did not, as a rule, consider mortals worthy of his attention. They could occasionally provide him amusement, but he regarded them as a housecat might a ball of string.

There was, however, one person on this prison-plane of existence that Loki regarded with some interest. And Alexander Aaron was about to get an unexpected visit.

[ After James had been ported out, Alex began spending a large amount of time in his old workshop, which he now considered his own. The modified toys keep him entertained for the most part when everything else around him is too boring.

Today was the same, there was nothing of interest happening and he didn't feel like playing games with the others. He's totally not expecting Loki right now ok ]

[hiddles]

[And yet, there Loki was. Used to showing up unexpected, Loki made no sound, standing where he had not seconds ago, perfectly still and tall. He waited the space of two heartbeats before speaking.]

Hail.

[inspirefear]

[ Alex freezes for a moment with a mildly surprised look on his face. He didn't see this coming, which is unusual for him. He is rarely caught completely off guard.

It doesn't take him long to regain composure, though. ]

Hey. [ a beat ] What brings you here?

[hiddles]

It is in my nature to be curious.

[As if to illustrate the point, Loki steps closer.]

[inspirefear]

[ Ugh, what a weirdo. Alex looks up at Loki, no longer impressed by his presence. ]

Okay. Go be curious somewhere else.

[hiddles]

You are young, but be not unwise. It is madness or folly to insult a god, and no boon gained by such risk.

[inspirefear]

[ Alex straightens up, his eyes still locked on Loki's. ]

What do you want from me?

[hiddles]

Is everything as simple as desire?

[Loki does something that could be mistaken for a shrug.]

I came to talk. That is one of this country's freedoms, is it not?
