Draconic explorations
WHO: Crucible and OPEN!
WHERE: The bay, rooftops, Central park, generally around or above the city
WHEN: Between 27th and 31st July
WARNINGS: None as yet
SUMMARY: Crucible gets to know the city in his true form and explores the city in kitty form.
FORMAT: Prose setup, personal choice from there.
It had been several days since his arrival in this new world. His meetings with both the lord governor of the draconian nation, Kang and Gold dragon of legend, Aurican still fresh in his mind. After adjusting somewhat to the new situation he had decided to explore the city and the surrounding in earnest and take the opportunity to stretch his wings in his true form.
Glad of the proximity to the ocean, in recent evenings and mornings one might spot a particularly massive dragon, at one hundred and fourty feet swimming about the bay, casually weaving his way between those boats that found themselves in the area at the time, occasionally drawing close to a boat that had drawn his curiosity.
In the dark of evenings and once or twice during the day he took the opportunity to view the city from above, taking to wing, bronze scales gleaming in the sun, or reflecting the light from the city below in the night. Finding place atop rooftops large and sturdy enough to take his weight after flights.
During those times he was not taking flight or dealing with matters in his human form, Crucible had taken to wandering the streets in his feline form, that of an orange striped tomcat, getting a feel for the city in general and of the local wildlife, talking to those creatures he came across in their own tongue to better get a feel for the area, finding himself spending a good amount of time wandering the large park in the center of the city, occasionally curling up to rest by one of the lakes that the park contained. Once or twice in the evening he had set himself down in his full draconic form rest by the lake, curious of how the locals would react.
[OOC: Feel free to encounter him in any of the locations noted, or even somewhere else in general just note which locations and/or which form you'd like to encounter him in, dragon or cat]

7/31 @ night ] lake & dragon form because dragons!!
Her face is set into a frown, though only pursed lips can be seen as she approaches. Her initial thought is Khisanth, having finally snapped at Vic's port out.
As she gets closer through way of the trees, it becomes clear this is a different dragon.
Dragons are always a reason unto themselves!
Thus he had taken a chance to slip into the lake, his large form half submerged not far from the bank, his bronze scales gleaming slightly from the lights set about the park. He did enjoy the peace though that the fleeing locals had left in their wake.
His massive head rose and turned to scan his gaze in her direction as his senses picked up a new scent as well as movement nearby. "It would seem that the locals are quite easily startled," he commented idly to the open air, wondering if the one who had approached would show respond or show themselves.

"Creatures from legend will do that." She started, trying to gauge his reaction.
no subject
"Indeed, it would not the first time we have been considered legends, we proved otherwise, although it is..different here. You however are different, you approach when others flee,"
"Be thankful I am no chromatic at least, I mean you and the citizens of the city no harm,"
no subject
"I'd be terrible at what I do if I ran off at the sight of a dragon," she inched closer, but she remained cautious in spite of her own words. "I'd give you the benefit of the doubt, but our dealings with dragons haven't been pleasant." And her tone was colder, a hint of a warning situated somewhere there.
no subject
"Quite so? Just what is it that you do, I wonder?" He asked with mild curiosity before shaking his head slowly, but of course Khisanth would have caused some measure of trouble in the time she'd been here, "I assume you have had troubles with a particular black then. An understandable conclusion if she is all you have had dealings with, have there been others?"
no subject
"No, just her." As far as she knew. If there were others, they kept themselves well hidden. "But you're not a friend of hers then, are you?"
no subject
"She is no friend of mine, on Krynn she was on the opposite side of a war. That however is long passed, tell me, what do you know of her, what trouble has she caused while she has been here?"
no subject
But their time in this park was pressed; it wouldn't be too long before police interrupted their conversation.
"We should talk elsewhere. The police might fire on sight." Not that she believed their bullets would harm him too much. Avoiding trouble was the main goal now.
no subject
"That would be quite unfortunate. Have you somewhere more suitable in mind?"
Slowly he stretched in the water before standing, the full extent of his massive form becoming evident as he stepped free of the lake, his large wings unfolding as water dripped from his scales. A thoughtful look crossing his features, he considered utilizing his shape shifting, however thought against it for that moment, best to leave that trick up his metaphorical sleeve for now.

Her motorcycle had been parked further away from the park. As long as the cops headed straight for this area, she could slip by and ride off.

Unfurling his wings in full he lifted them high as he crouched back before propelling himself skyward as he brought his wings down in a powerful beat. His massive frame lifting high into the sky above the park.
He would circle high above the city where she might be able to see him before turning his flight toward the outskirts of the city. His flight one that seemed casual enough giving the one far below time to follow from the ground.
Eventually he would reach the outskirts of the city and come down to land near what appeared to be from aerial inspection to be a series of large and abandoned buildings, warehouses if their analogues in his time were anything to go by.
god, i'm sorry for the slow. busy week.
She arrived after Crucible, slowing to a stop and again, cautiously leaving her bike's side. It was her only means of escape if things got out of hand, but she began to wonder what this dragon's deal was with Khisanth.
The enemy of my enemy and so forth.
Not to worry, have a case of rather busy week myself
His eyes glowing in the darkness as he waited for her to enter, muttering a few words of the draconic tongue as he formed a steady bright white light that hung near the ceiling of the warehouse, illuminating the interior and allowing her a good look at his immense form.
"You made it, good,"

They had gone through some trouble with Khisanth in the past. What she had done to Dick was never far from her thoughts when she came up in discussions or she had to deal with her.
no subject
"Firstly however, tell me what you know of her thus far, what allies she has gathered and what trouble she has caused, from what I am aware she has been here for far longer than I," His tone firm and commanding, she wanted information on the Khisanth, she would have to give to receive and so that the information that he would give her would be more relavent.
