Curiosity and the Cat

WHO: Crucible and Pherson
WHERE: Central park
WHEN: Evening of 12/8 (Or whenever would be better!)
WARNINGS: None as yet.
SUMMARY: Crucible decides to investigate rumours he'd heard from animals of one who could speak to them.
FORMAT: Quick

In the time since his arrival he had often utilized his ability to speak with animals to his advantage, getting a better feel for the city, its people and the animals that called it home. There had however been a particular rumour however that had been consistent during his time thus far, that there was another who spoke to animals, one who dressed in robes and spoke with a voice that was hard to resist, or so he had been lead to believe.

Thus once more he was in central park in his feline form, this time however for a specific purpose, to learn more about the robed figure in question.

Pherson spent the vast majority of his time trying to take care of a polar bear and a handful of penguins he'd released from the Central Park Zoo a couple of months ago. On top of that, he kept track of the animals of the park, sorting out problems and slowly getting to know them.

He'd need all the help he could get, in this city that was run by his arch-nemesis. He didn't really have time to harass the mayor. But he received reports. He just had to be patient. He had to ait until his foe got weak.

One of the hot dog stands suddenly found that it no longer had a product to sell, and the polar bear gobbled up the goods eagerly. Pherson relaxed, opening his mind to the voices of all the animals nearby. They chattered, constantly. He'd heard them speaking of certain things, giant lizards and things (Khisanth, perhaps?). They spoke of him too, he knew.

Good.

That's perfectly okay! c:

Pherson turned to look at the new arrival, surprised. That was far more direct than most animals spoke to him without him starting the conversation. He looked down at the cat before crouching, to better observe it.

When he spoke, he used his special voice, the one that sounded like violet and was so sweet to animals. "AM I? WHO HAVE YOU BEEN TALKING TO, FRIEND?".
parroted: concerned pherson under his hood (I know what I am)

"YOU'VE BEEN SPEAKING TO ALL OF THEM?"

He was surprised, and it showed on his face. Cats were gossipy and curious, but they usually went back to their own affairs after getting bored. Very self-involved, cats. Detectives they were not.

Of course, all animals had their own personalities, and perhaps this cat just had a particularly strong one.
parroted: pherson looking off into the distance (he's a loooooone wolf)

oops, now i'm the one being super slow ;; sorry!

Pherson moved to sit in front of the cat, to better to speak to him as. He lowers his hood. He's a handsome man, if unshaven (and probably not giving off the best smell either), and when he speaks in his Voice, his eyes glow violet.

"I'D LOVE TO HEAR THE GOSSIP ABOUT ME."
parroted: pherson leaning forward a little with an evil smile (oh I know I don't give a damn)

For a moment Pherson looks at him curiously - and then smiles.

"THEY WOULD BE RIGHT. I AM A FRIEND TO ALL LIVING THINGS, AND MY VOICE ALLOWS ME TO SPEAK TO THEM."

He doesn't mention that he can also command animals to do things with it - he prefers for animals to assume they made their own choices. To be a persuader, not a commander. It makes Pherson feel better about his Mission.

"DO YOU NEED HELP, LITTLE ONE?"
