He'd need all the help he could get, in this city that was run by his arch-nemesis. He didn't really have time to harass the mayor. But he received reports. He just had to be patient. He had to ait until his foe got weak.
One of the hot dog stands suddenly found that it no longer had a product to sell, and the polar bear gobbled up the goods eagerly. Pherson relaxed, opening his mind to the voices of all the animals nearby. They chattered, constantly. He'd heard them speaking of certain things, giant lizards and things (Khisanth, perhaps?). They spoke of him too, he knew.
Good.
Sorry about the delay, busy day >.<
Padding into view slowly before stopping a few meters from him with a flick of his tail. Peering up at him with a gaze more intelligent than any other animal before he spoke in the animals tongue, "You must be the human they speak of,"
That's perfectly okay! c:
When he spoke, he used his special voice, the one that sounded like violet and was so sweet to animals. "AM I? WHO HAVE YOU BEEN TALKING TO, FRIEND?".

He was surprised, and it showed on his face. Cats were gossipy and curious, but they usually went back to their own affairs after getting bored. Very self-involved, cats. Detectives they were not.
Of course, all animals had their own personalities, and perhaps this cat just had a particularly strong one.

He stopped in front once more him, setting back on his haunches and peering up to him with a flick of the tail.
oops, now i'm the one being super slow ;; sorry!
"I'D LOVE TO HEAR THE GOSSIP ABOUT ME."
Not a problem! Have had a rather busy last few days anyways!
"That you are the robed man in the park that helps them with their problems and whom speaks in a voice so sweet and hard to resist," Mostly the truth but a slight bit added that he hadn't specifically heard as such.
"I can see why they say as much, that is quite the...compelling voice you have,"
no subject
"THEY WOULD BE RIGHT. I AM A FRIEND TO ALL LIVING THINGS, AND MY VOICE ALLOWS ME TO SPEAK TO THEM."
He doesn't mention that he can also command animals to do things with it - he prefers for animals to assume they made their own choices. To be a persuader, not a commander. It makes Pherson feel better about his Mission.
"DO YOU NEED HELP, LITTLE ONE?"
no subject
"I do not, I was merely curious to meet a man held in such regard by many," He replied casually with a flick of his tail before a more curious feline look crossed his features.
"I have heard of another who has spoken to many, have you heard much of them?"
