Can't think, can't decide, time's running out on the otherside.
WHO: Seras Victoria and Jack Bauer
WHERE: Southwest Phoenicia
WHEN: September 3rd
WARNINGS: Violence, Language, Explosions, Jack
SUMMARY: Seras goes to help Jack get out of some trouble. Terrorist militia die in droves.
FORMAT: Para to start then quick for the action.
Seras hadn't even bothered packing before she took a patrol car to the airport. There wasn't time. She'd barely had the patience to wait for one of the patrol officers to meet her there and take the car and her pistol back. At least the lack of baggage and her badge had made it easier to get through the security lines. The ticket though had eaten up way too much of her money and once she was past security she still ended up waiting for over an hour for the plane which was late. Then because she'd bought her ticket last second she had to wait another half hour to be seated. By the time she was actually on the plane she was already well past annoyed and on her way to furious. Jack needed her and they were making her wait!
Finally after the stupid safety brief the plane took off and she was on her way. It was only then that she realized what a mistake she'd made in rushing off without planning. She was hungry and she'd forgotten to bring any blood. Not that they'd have let her own the plane with it, the TSA agents would have had a heart attack probably, but still she couldn't believe she'd done something so stupid. Normally she could have just ignored the hunger pains, but she was already on edge and worried which just made them worse.
The end result was three hours into the flight when the attendant asked her what she wanted for her in flight meal Seras snapped at her. "No, I bloody well don't want an in flight meal because I can't eat it you idiot! I'm a vampire!"
Immediately afterward there was large scale panic as the attendants tried to stop the passengers from forcing the captain to land the plane in the middle of the ocean. Seras swore next time it didn't matter how uncomfortable it was she was flying cargo, in her coffin, so she wouldn't have to deal with this nonsense. At least then she could bring some blood along no one would bother her. Especially that damn attendant.
After several more hours she landed at her destination, tired, hungry, and determined to talk out her bad day on whoever was trying to hurt Jack.

His target yelled out, then fell backward lifelessly. The Technical's gun was now unmanned. Its driver reacted swiftly. Tires spun on the cool sand as it turned broadside to Jack's position, so the gunman in the passenger's seat could put a gun out the window and open up on the rock. Bullets slammed into the stone as the two men exchanged shots in the darkness. Jack squinted, sighted on the muzzle flashes and tried to kill the other man before he could kill him.

"Seras?" Jack called out. "Is that you?"

He got in the driver's side. It was easy considering Seras had ripped the door off. The engine was even still running, keys in the ignition. "I'm sorry I didn't brief you on the phone, I didn't have a lot of time. These people have been after me for a while."

"They've probably already called for reinforcements. Keep an eye out for more vehicles. They like to drive without headlights and come up from both sides." Jack had familiarized himself with this group's tactics once it became clear they were going to be an issue. "We just need to get inside the airport and get aboard a plane to the States."

"Three more, I'll try and slow them down."
Leaning all the way out the window this time she took aim and fired a burst at the lead truck's tires. Because of the rough roads bouncing the truck up down it went wide. Snarling Seras focused again and fired. This time the rounds connected solidly with the front left tire and the truck almost skidded out of control, but it's driver was able to stop it and get it going again admittedly much slower, but they weren't giving up.
"Damn it!"

"Get on the fifty-cal!" He yelled. "Take them out!"

"One down!"

The other two Technicals split up, going off-road to flank their vehicle with one on either side. Jack saw them bouncing on the rough terrain, but they were still managing to keep up with his truck and catch it in a nasty crossfire. The windshield shattered, broken glass falling over him as he wrestled with the wheel. He was very aware that he had no protection on his side, since Seras had ripped off the door. But they were mainly aiming at the gunner- at Seras.

Jack squinted after them, not sure if they were really leaving or just coming back for another pass once the car died. And the car was going to die- the damaged engine was making hideous noises, and their speed was dropping steadily. "Seras, can you verify whether they've disengaged?"

Seras jumped off the back of their truck and flew into the darkness. After a moment there was the screech of metal followed by screams. A minute later Seras pulled up in the technical. It was missing its roof. "Get in let's go."

"We're almost there," he said. "We'll have to ditch this and infiltrate on foot. The airport must have heard the shots, they'll probably be on lockdown."
