THE GOTTALA TREIFYU
WHO: ImPorts.
WHERE: Gottala Treifyu of TíraFórsae.
WHEN: April 21st 2013 noon to April 25th 11:59 PM.
WARNINGS: Possible violence, gore.
SUMMARY: Off-world adventure on EARTH KLADSUO834LKSFDLKJ8718=LAJD
FORMAT: Whatever.
[It looked like a Frigate ballooned out, twenty times its natural size. This Gottala of wood and steel does indeed conjure the idea of a Man-O-War, with its thrusting, skybound mast and intimidating array of long, cold gunlike cannons lining its front and side. There's a warlike air about the bearing of the Gottala, something instinctively offensive, as if the entire concept of this city-ship is to scavenge the flayed flesh of those less fortunate than they are.
Which rather befits a piratical ship, doesn't it?
This mammoth of a ship is remarkable, and seemingly deviant of normal floatation physics -- but it's by no means the largest of the Gottalas. This one houses perhaps 8,000 people, and most of that populace is made of young adults, the equivalent of your hip twentysomethings and almost as rabid on board as in a trendy thrift shop.
Upon its slight concave back, in the very middle of the ship, stood what looked to be a village. Upon closer inspection, however, one might notice that very few buildings were dedicated to personal housing: with the exception of a flurry of hostels, most were taverns and entertainment zones – either theatres or gambling dens or even a rare library. Streets are illuminated with strung lanterns, which exudes a real devious atmosphere.
Those on board, for the most part, seem amused by the idea of imPorts. A few will snicker if you introduce yourself as an imPort -- it almost sounds like an unflattering word, doesn't it?]

There was no more time to explain: one of the knife-wielders decided Jack must be distracted while talking and lunged forward. He was fatally mistaken. Jack met the lunge with the outstretched point of his knife. He saw pale brown liquid ooze over the hilt and onto his hand as the blade sliced into the attacker's chest. Howls of rage went up from the others as Jack's victim slumped down, lifeless.
"We need to get off this street and find some cover!" Jack yelled. "I'll hold them off, you look for an escape route!" It hadn't occurred to Jack yet that City Hall's Security Advisor was more powerful than he could imagine. His training and instincts compelled him to put himself between the civilian and the danger.
There was plenty of danger as well: the fight seemed to be ending around them as the locals united against these two bizarre aliens that had simply dropped out of the sky and joined the fray. Jack faced a growing force of people with pointy objects and an inclination to insert them into his organs.

With but a glance to the one Jack engaged and dispatched just as quickly, an act that enraged the crowd further no doubt. Jack's call however drew the slight rise of an eyebrow before he nodded sharply, his sharp eyes picking out an alley near one of the thinner edges of the crowd. Had he been from Krynn, Bight thought Jack would do quite well amongst his Governor's guards.
With the local's closing in, Bight surged toward his chosen escape route, catching the three closest to the alley before they could react, each out cold with a hard knock to the head with the hilt of the dagger he held.
"This way!" Calling from the mouth of the alley, the three unconscious bodies at his feet.

Jack fled into the alley, with several of the enemy following close behind. "Do you have anything that could help us lose these guys?" He called, one step ahead of a knife in the back. If Hogan turned out to be a teleporter or illusionist or invisibility expert, Jack would have very much welcomed it just then.

Those pursuing were clearly not giving up so easily however, shouts coming from the alleyway behind them, "I may have a thing or two," Slowing his run he turned, sweeping his hand across the mouth of the alley in an arcane gesture, muttering a draconic chant as he drew on his magic, sparks and static drawing along arm and hand, as well as all along the alleyway behind them. Frowning though as something seemed..off..as soon as he'd completed the spell, except rather than the wall of lightning that he'd been intending to form, the alleyway was alive with highly charged static, arching back and forth, and it seemed to be spreading both further down the alley and toward them.
"That's not supposed to happen...something is interfering with my magic," he frowned saying almost to himself, before a particular arch of electricity, "We need to get out of this alley now, there, ahead!" turning and sprinting after Jack, indicating an intersection ahead.

Shaking his head with a frown, "An after effect of the transportation or the nature of this world,"

"We're probably not the only ImPorts that have been brought here," he said. "Lachesis likes to do these things in groups. We should try to find out if there are others, meet up with them. Then we can get some answers."

"If the last incident was anything to go by, that seems quite likely," He glances toward one of the larger street beyond, "Let us hope that any others have had a more..pleasant greeting than the natives gave us,"
