THE GOTTALA WASWER
WHO: ImPorts.
WHERE: Gottala Waswer of TíraFórsae.
WHEN: April 21st 2013 noon to April 25th 11:59 PM.
WARNINGS: Possible violence, gore.
SUMMARY: Off-world adventure on EARTH KLADSUO834LKSFDLKJ8718=LAJD
FORMAT: Whatever.
[This smaller Gottala looks more like a floating scrapheap yard -- and in many ways, it is. Waswer harvests metal from decaying Gottalas and resells the material to wealthier, more robust city-ships. Such is their industry. The heart of Waswer is a replicator facility that manufactures coal. Quite obviously, coal as a fuel source cannot be mined in the traditional sense, and Waswer is fortunate enough to have invested in a very specific replication formula.
Unfortunately they were about three quarters of a century too late, because there are way more efficient fuels. Waswer is just barely keeping on.
A smaller Gottala that holds about 500 people, Waswer sometimes struggles for sustenance -- they don't have the skill or technology that other Gottalas specified towards fishing or flora replication have.
There's an old story about a man from Iswer falling in love with a woman from Jelebellios. Such an indignity was his courtship, that Jelebellios hired out the two more fearsome mercenary Gottalas to raze down Iswer, nearly destroying the ship entirely. The next fifty years were spent rebuilding the Gottala, and renaming it Waswer in fervent memory of this great offense.
Needless to say, people from Jelebellios are imprisoned on sight.]

He's braced for a fight, but the jailers don't seem to have any objection to letting him in to some sort of visiting area to see the prisoners. Immediately, he hurries in the direction of the figure slumped against the wall.]
Gil, is that you? Hey, hey -- can you look at me, buddy?

He sighs and starts looking around the cell's entrance, trying to find some way to open it. ] I need to get out of here. Perhaps one of them has a key?
