This is their second marriage, but it's their first real wedding since Pietro has constantly been reminding them that eloping doesn't count. Bobbi disagrees, but she's tired of being harped on and would rather enjoy the festivities instead. It doesn't have to be a big deal, she doesn't want a big deal. She just wants it to be her and Clint and the people they love and also some decent barbecue.

Also she wants Clint to actually show up. That'd be cool.

[ It's only bad luck if the groom sees his bride in her wedding dress or some silly superstition like that. Gil's not the groom so he's been looking around for Bobbi to give her the parcel he's carrying around in his arms.

He eventually finds her, but he doesn't enter yet, knocking first on the door to garner her attention. ]

Miss Bobbi?

[mocks]

[Her hairbrush is promptly flung onto the floor and she turns around to face the door, startled by the knock and even more startled by the voice at the door. If anyone was going to bug her now, surely it would be Pietro.]

Gil? Is that you? Come in, honey.

[invoking]

[ He thinks he shouldn't have disturbed her or gone wandering around the mansion on his own. Now he feels he's being impolite, so he freezes at the doorway. ]

I didn't mean to startle you.

[mocks]

It's okay, I was just off in another world.

[She waves him in, embarrassed at having been caught off guard. She was a superspy, she wasn't supposed to be caught daydreaming about her wedding day, not even on her wedding day.]

[invoking]

[ He steps into the room, finally noticing her dress. He had expected something more longer, poofier, maybe fairy tale-like. Of course, he doesn't know much about wedding dresses.

But it suits Bobbi and he thinks she looks great in it. ]

How are you? [ He'll start with that first. ]

[mocks]

I'm... [She takes a deep breath, not wanting to be too transparent about her emotions.] I'm really happy. And a little nervous about this whole thing. But mostly happy.

[invoking]

[ He moves closer to her, though not too close so he's not crowding her on her big day. ]

I'm fairly sure it's a normal feeling. [ A crooked smile. ] I didn't mean to disturb you, but I wanted to give you [ he raises his arms with the red box, holding it out for her ] this.

[mocks]

A present? [Her face lights up, nerves evaporating into her usual charming visage.] Is it a wedding gift? Should I open it now?

[invoking]

Um! If you'd like? I don't want to impose. [ It's a bit heavy, the box, and underneath all of it is this because he blanked on gift ideas. He can only hope she'll like and have use for it. ]

[mocks]

[Bobbi's eyes go wide, and a slow smile washes over her.]

This is absolutely gorgeous. Sugar, you've outdone yourself.

[invoking]

[ Her reaction earns a smile in return, even if he's somewhat bashful. ]

Do you like it? I hope it was alright.

[mocks]

You bet I do. [She carefully placed the set on a table.] It'll get good use. And it's my favorite color.

[invoking]

I'm glad to hear it. [ His smile widens. ] The ceremony should begin soon, yes?

[mocks]

Yeah. [She steals a quick glance at her reflection in the mirror.] In just a few minutes now.

[invoking]

[ He watches her, pondering what else is going on through her head right now. Marriage is normally a big deal for people. He himself has avoided it for years. He definitely doesn't think he could do what Bobbi and Clint are about to do. ]

You look fine. [ He says. Maybe she's concerned about that? ]

[mocks]

Thank you.

[She turns away from her reflection, summoning up everything calm and collected within her to the surface.]

[invoking]

You're welcome, but -- [ He shifts his weight from one foot to the other, his cheeks tinted a light pink. ] I should be the one thanking you for the invitation. Especially after the way I was...

[ Being so aggressively against helping her and nick initially. ]
