Heck of a Holiday Weekend
WHO: Bruce Willis and Carla Gugino
WHERE: McClane's place.
WHEN: Friday night, after some drinks and a proper welcome back.
WARNINGS: Post-nooky
SUMMARY: McClane and Jupiter have a strangely easy relationship (for the most part), reestablished now that she's ported back in. Let's see how it works.
FORMAT: Paragraphs or some such.
It's dark in the apartment, which is generally pretty spartan, since the man whose name is on the lease doesn't spend a lot of time here doing much other than sleeping. There's some light in the bedroom coming in horizontally divided by the window blinds against the ceiling from the street lights outside. Sounds of the city drift in and out with a low murmur of street noise.
For once, John McClane is lying awake, but this time he's got a soft smile on his face instead of the usual miserable look. This would be because he has someone lying there next to him - a drop-dead gorgeous redhead from another era who makes life in this world a bit easier to take, just by being herself. She was gone for a while, and he hit the drink harder. Now she's back... and he can put the bottle away.
He doesn't talk about it, but the chief gets powerfully lonesome sometimes.
She makes it better when she's here.
