[OPEN LOG] Man about town...
WHO: Sirius Black...AND YOU?
WHERE: A) His warehouse, B) Sandust Bookstore, C) Xavier's Institute, D) Central Park
WHEN: Anytime over the weekend
WARNINGS: YOU HAVE ALL HEARD SIRIUS TALK BY NOW.
SUMMARY: General post for CR purposes!
FORMAT: Paragraph, but I ain't picky
A) The warehouse Sirius had inherited from Trickster had seen many changes over the past year or so, now half devoted to magical items (brooms, mostly) and half to what seemed to be a motorcycle chop-shop. The latest dramatic change a display platform: a space had been cleared in the direct center of the warehouse, under a ring of bright lights. They currently shone down over the glinting chrome and teal form. There wasn't anything overtly leonine on it, but it showed in little details - distinctive claw-shapes in the rims, dun leather on the seat, and that whatever the manufacturer had named the bike before, the name "Maahes" now sits in large, gold print on either side, surrounded by swirls of runes embossed ever so slightly into the very metal of the tank cover. (They wind across almost every surface of the bike, in fact.) Three other motorcycles inhabit the warehouse: a classic Triumph, Sirius's beloved personal ride, another flashy new motorcycle that seems to be his current focus, and a smaller model mostly in pieces.
B) Sandust, like many used bookstores in the city, didn't exactly see a steady stream of customers. This was in part due to the eclectic cram of dusty titles inherent to all such establishments that made finding anything like wandering a bilbiothetical maze, but also because one rarely saw anyone sitting behind the desk. It was as if they didn't want to sell anything. Lately, though, more people had been coming in, especially on their lunch breaks, because there was a very large, shaggy, friendly-looking dog who would sleep in the most delightfully ostentatious manner in the sunbeam of the store's front window, which now had a sign that read "Warning: Extremely Friendly Dog Inside. Please Pet the Padfoot!" over a large paw print. (Oddly enough, it wasn't there when Mr. Lupin himself was in attendance...) Very occasionally, one of them would look like they wanted to actually buy something, in which case Padfoot would get up and trot helpfully into the back room to retrieve the handsome layabout who seemed to be Mr. Lupin's main help in running the place. Patrons occasionally laughed amongst themselves that the hardest working employee in the shop was the dog.
C) Sirius was nowhere near as fond of Xavier's as he had been of Hogwarts, but he'd spent a solid semester here making a perfect nuisance of himself to everyone except the Headmaster (mostly). He considered it only fair that he should even the score, and most days, around lunch time, the roar of a certain motorbike flying in to land in the parking lot could be heard. Sirius arrived with sandwiches, with curry, with pizza, with soup, with whatever struck his fancy on a given day, and made a game attempt to get the Headmaster to eat something like a normal person, Remus. If the staff and student body found it odd that this young man was calling on their Headmaster so often...well, they obviously didn't know Remus or Sirius particularly well. Should he be unsuccessful in his attempts to get Remus's attention that day (or if Remus brought his own lunch, novel concept as that might be), Sirius would wander about, often in the direction of Zatanna's office, and bestow the extra food and his attention on some lucky person.
D)Central park was coming over all green and pink and white with new leaves and blossoming trees. Its paths were lined in golden daffodils and vibrant tulips. It was perfect for jogging in, especially if you liked jogging with other joggers, and found long legs in short shorts under bouncing ponytails to be a very pleasant addition to the scenery. As Sirius very much did, he'd added jogging to his morning activities, and it was nice enough lately that he found himself wandering the Park during lunches when he knew beforehand that Remus was busy.
