It's a one way ticket to midnight

WHO: [livejournal.com profile] megamaniacal and [livejournal.com profile] bullhorned
WHERE: Megamind's MAC lab apartment!
WHEN:LATE LATE LATE friday night to saturday morning!
WARNINGS: FAILURES...
SUMMARY: The labmaster and his minion sidekick are getting ready for their greatest display of pure awesome that they could have ever imagined
FORMAT: Starting out para! Whatever flows after that is cool with me!

In the almost quaint little lab in the heart of the MAC was the thudding of (admittedly) music that wasn't as loud as he'd like it to be. But! After the last episode with ridiculously loud music, he decided that perhaps creating a public disturbance in a gigantic building filled with superheroes wasn't the best idea. In fact, it was a terrible idea, especially when there were creepy, crude men lurking on the network saying horrible things!

So it was a a very respectable only normally loud volume. Which meant that only the people above and to the sides of the apartment were likely disturbed. It may have also been a little hard to hear in the room without shouting. Then again, the alien was very good at yelling at the top of his lungs.

Of course, this was the only way he could really work well, and he did want to get everything perfect for Monday. It was the perfect display of a true heroic gesture! The city would be flocking to him for his expert help now! For that though, he needed more chemicals!

"Minion!" wait, that wasn't right. Minion wasn't here. Nobody was. He had a new assistant now, didn't he? "Tavros!" he yelled above the very, very loud music to his new assistant. "The chemicals! On the wall! Bring me the copper chloride! And the chlorine! And the copper flakes!"

So he had a thing for blue. Who would have guessed?

Meanwhile, Tavros had been sitting off to the side, watching his odd little sort of boss and trying not to let his ears get blown out by the music. Loud sounds were not his forte, and it took a little getting used to every time he came here.

The initial shout made him look up, confused if only because minion certainly was not a thing that he normally considered himself, and he was about to begin to maybe work up the nerve to say just that when the man corrected himself. Tavros didn't respond, except to nod and begin working his way around the various Scientific Endeavors already laid about, still not entirely sure he could make his voice heard above the music.

Then there was the wall, and he considered himself lucky that all but one of the chemicals were at a level he could reach, and the last took only a bit of creative lifting up the shelves and flailing randomly at the jar he wanted until it fell into his lap with the others.

Thank goodness, that wasn't too bad. Setting each jar up on the lab table, he peered worriedly up at Megamind and did his very best to shout over the music, "Um! These are... the ones you wanted, right...?!" Because really, who could possibly be expected to hear clearly around all this noise.
