I have found here a wrong way to go about it
WHO: Zevran (
niceassassin) and Remus (
natureinblood)
WHERE: Sandust, Remus's bookstore
WHEN: Backdated to Wednesday the 6th.
WARNINGS: Nothing other than Zevran's usual self.
SUMMARY: Love spells cause collateral damage, too. The recipient of some of that damage starts seeking his revenge.
FORMAT: Prose to start, whatever to continue.
Zevran's initial reactions to the shattering of the love spell were pathetic, abortive, more about trying and failing to cope with his feelings of inexplicable disappointment, hurt, and anger than about responding to what had really happened. But Khisanth's last Network post made it very clear just who was responsible for the mess: a goddess. And that certainly complicated things. But Zevran didn't have it in him to simply let the matter slide. He couldn't quite say why, other than that he was done being toyed with for the amusement of higher beings. He certainly didn't want to think about why he was so hurt, when he'd never returned Khisanth's false feelings in the first place. So he wouldn't. He'd just form a plan.
Now that he's serious about things, though, he's not about to rush off and get himself killed. That's a thing of desperation, not a plan. Instead, on Wednesday, with the chaos of the Fourth of July weekend finally behind everyone, he saunters into Remus Lupin's bookstore. The man has proven amenable to helping him out in the past, even if Zevran is still slightly puzzled by this helpfulness. And he knows magic. It's a good enough starting point for his research into how to kill a god.
He gives no indication as he walks through the door that he's here for such a thing, though. He's as pleasant and smiling as ever, and looking about casually for Remus. This, he reasons, will take more than just his own research through the stacks.
