All's fair in love and war, and this is a bit of both.
WHO: The Know It All and the Stabber of Cursed Lockets.
WHERE: Ron's room.
WHEN: Sunday evening.
WARNINGS: Sirius talk. That's not about Sirius.
SUMMARY: Hermione has had some of her suspicions confirmed by a certain Potion's Master. Now she needs to leak the truth out. Slowly.
FORMAT: Third person to begin, but um. I'm easy.
Tucking her bag close to her body, Hermione examined her appearance in the bathroom mirror for the umpteenth time. She was thinner than usual, paler and there was something...off...about her eyes. Yet she had seen this reflection for months. Hopefully the effects of the war - and little to no sleep - would wear off eventually. Either way, she didn't have the time to dawdle over her appearance.
Splashing her face with cold water, she grabbed her wand and Apparated the short distance to Ron's flat. As she used her Magic, she felt the Cup vibrate curiously. The thing was voracious for more power - much like the wizard himself.
Suppressing a shudder, Hermione raised her free hand and knocked on Ron's door. While she waited, she prayed that all would go well. Without Harry, this mission was going to be even harder. But it was something that had to be done.
