So baby close your eyes to the lullabies
Who: Roxanne and THE IMPORTS OF THE CITY. Yes, even that one. Especially that one.
Where: WHEREVER YOU ARE.
When: Friday, October 7-Sunday Oct 9
Warnings: JOURNALIST!
Summary: Roxanne is starting her new job-- and that means a ton of footwork as she researched imPort issues, imPort businesses, imPort crime and imPort everything else. In short: she's going to get nosy.
Format: i require words. you must give me words. [Prose to start, I will match your tags!]
Note!: Roxanne is seeking important -- and not so impotrant but at least known -- imPort quanties and to catch a glimpse of their lives, get to know them. This is the ground work for some of her future journalist endeavors an part of her new job with WayneTech's media wing. She's looking primarily at imPort on the street, but she'll easilly speak to/catch a word with/get to know just about any imPort for their story, from Tony Stark to Flint Marko.
It was good to be working again; cleaned up but not too polished, Roxanne longed for a shorter skirt and higher boots, but the New York autumn would turn nippy in the evenings. It wasn't like Metro City, where it's stay in the upper seventies in the evenings for at least another month. She missed the California sun, but -- from what she understood, there was no Metro City at all, and L.A. wasn't what it used to be.
But the City was rich with stories and they needed to be told. People needed to be educated and informed; Roxanne believed that only with knowledge of what was really going on in their own lives, in their own cities, could people make the correct choices for their own wellbeing. The ImPort community and the City really needed it. So, armed with a week's worth of research, she began to hit places frequented by, or run by, imPorts. The Mayor's office would have to wait -- she did hvae her shiny new press pass, but she needed to do a LOT more research on Mr. Hundred before she plunged into that particular end of the pool, and needed to guage the City's politics better.
It was time to meet the people she'd be serving, and get to know who they were, and what their stories told the world.
