She waits all night for him to call,

WHO: Seras and OPEN
WHERE: Police Headquarters
WHEN: Monday night at about 8:00
WARNINGS: Moody vampire
SUMMARY: Seras goes to clean out her friend's desk and she's not happy about it.
FORMAT: Para then whatever

She'd been dreading this. It was one of the last things in the world she wanted to do, but the time had come and if someone had to do it then it should be her. Slowly she approached the desk and reached out to carefully pick up the name plate resting on the front of it. 'Lt. Aaron Grey', her fellow officer and also her friend. He hadn't been seen for weeks now and that was why she was cleaning out his desk tonight. At first she had wanted to believe he had to be somewhere in the city, maybe even in trouble. As the weeks went by though it became clear he had to have been sent back to his own world by the Porter. Any other situation and they would have heard something, or he would have left a note said goodbye.

That was what was bothering her so much about this. She hated that Aaron was gone, absolutely hated it, but to not have a chance to say goodbye, to say things she'd meant to say...that was hard. It had always been hard. That was the reason she had put this off so long. To finally pack it all away felt like she was admitting he wasn't ever coming back. Like she'd never get a chance to say goodbye.

Sighing she gently placed the nameplate in one of the cardboard boxes she'd brought and then she stepped behind the desk and began to diligently go through the drawers. Protocol was that the boxes went into storage here at HQ, but she had already decided to take them back to her flat. She didn't want anything to happen to his things and even though she was cleaning out his desk she still wasn't ready to let go, not yet. At least if she was storing his things it could seem like this was still just something temporary. That tomorrow, or a week, or even a year from now he would walk back through that door and she'd help put his office back together. It was always possibility with the Porter. At least that was what she was going to keep telling herself until she got all these things back home. Right now she wanted to believe that for just a little bit longer. Just a little bit longer.
