Red Robin might not be able to take on the full might of the Emissary Itself, as a giant tentacle monster of eldritch power is a little outside the remit of Hitting Things With Martial Arts And Human Strength, but the more human-sized Spawn are closer to his comfort zone. Not that anything about this event is anything but discomforting - Tim has read Lovecraft, and once or twice his gaming group had run a Call of Cthulu game, although they mostly stuck to D&D. Right about now, he's wishing that he'd paid more attention to how to make and employ an Elder Sign, but it's something he'll have to remedy later - if he gets the chance.
He's laying into the Spawn with his staff, using skill and the extra force afforded by his City-given superspeed to both inflict damage and evade it where he can. Since the creatures obviously aren't human, and can take a lot of damage, he isn't holding back.
