[Laura made a frustrated growling noise as the other started making demands about not being willing to retreat while struggling to actually stand. After a second she reached out to grab the girl by the arm and haul her bodily onto her feet.]

You can barely stand. If you fall back, recover, and return, then you're still useful. If you fight until you drop and die, you've accomplished nothing because the battle continues regardless.
