SUMMARY: Boyd discuss bringing Sherlock on as a freelancer for Rossum
FORMAT: Para
Boyd was excited for this meeting. While the man would be just a contract employee the fact he wanted to pursue forensics was fantastic. It provided Rossum a perfect excuse to involve themselves with the police department, perhaps even in evidence handling eventually. That sort of opportunity was worth the slight loss of control in this case and if the effort did produce some new forensics techniques all the better. Being on the cutting edge meant he would be one step ahead of any investigations when he would have to cover things up, which with Deadshot pursuing his mission against the Major would only be a matter of time.
Of course if this man is as skilled in forensics as Boyd was hoping, being able to keep him busy in a lab couldn't hurt with that effort and if he could be persuaded to help all the better. That would have to wait though and Boyd was certainly in no hurry. There would be plenty of time after the meeting to make those plans. First he needed to get a better feel for the man he was hiring. Reaching over the intercom, Boyd made sure she knew to send his appointment in right away and then he settled into his chair to wait.
