WARNINGS: Probably some blasphemy, somehow.
SUMMARY: Ra's tests his powers further and Azrael gets to dance with shadows. Or whatever it is he does.
FORMAT: BASICALLY LIKE TWO GROSS SOLO LOGS SMUSHED TOGETHER
It had been hours from arrival that Ra's al Ghul had discovered his new found abilities, although it hadn't been until after he'd located Talia that he had the opportunity to sit and test them more thoroughly. He was a meticulous, careful man; the waters of this world had not been dipped into recklessly. Study of the network had turned up further information on power acquisitions. Now he sat in lotus position, eyes on the shadow that stretched from where he sat across the ground.
He knew of Azrael -- no, knew an Azrael, that wide-eyed blonde man with the poor genetics that was certainly not the same man that was here, in this world -- and he knew the Suit of Sorrows. Of course he knew. He didn't know why another man should have it. Ra's's finger twitched; the shadow responded, growing in place before it vanished off the edge of the rooftop Ra's had situated himself on. Several more followed in its stead, speeding toward a filthy city, a disturbed and pious man.
It wasn't personal, not particularly. The shadows took shape of holy silhouettes, forming themselves into whatever might take hold in the man's mind. They could become as solid as flesh or as fluid as smoke, but clung resolutely to their target. It wasn't personal, but Ra's always hated knowing something that had been his had somehow found its way out of his hands. Especially here, where every resource needed to be grasped without mercy.
