SUMMARY: jade fucked people over, dave feels useless, angst happens.

[ There probably wasn’t anything he could have done. Space > time, God Tier > failure as a human being. But he could have stopped her, he’s sure of it. Had he not gotten awfully well acquainted with the sturdy structure of that one brick wall, he could have helped her. Not in shattering limbs, twisting muscles and splitting skin (you couldn’t pay him to touch the juggalo), but in the way that he could have saved her from a whole lot of regret and heartache. Because she’s Jade and Jade isn’t like that—it’ll come back and hit her like a punch in the face and he’ll know it’s because he wasn’t strong enough.
Shit.
So he sits at the head of his bed, picks at his socked feet and thinks of all the things he could have done if he wasn’t such a failure. If he’d gone God Tier instead of pussing out, if he’d tried a different approach, if he wasn’t so afraid of being caught up in looped paradox time again. He definitely could have done something. ]
