[Boyd had told him to get more familiar with the departments, so Topher was using today to wander around and generally get into everyone's business. It was odd to walk around the building when back home he had only had to concern himself with his own department, but without Adelle or anyone else from home Boyd said Topher was his Number Two. That meant something important didn't it?
Down the corridors he wandered into various labs, but most were empty as people took the day off to continue whatever festivities they had planned with family and friends. Topher walked into a seemingly empty lab and began to poke about.]
