The door is pulled open and he's greeted and, stunned, he just stands there like a fool. He wasn't expecting anyone else to be there, but he should have because this is Roxanne and of course she would have company on Christmas.

He shoves the flowers in her direction, not waiting to see if she actually manages to grasp them.
