Robots aren't a big deal to someone who has a best friend named Cyborg, but Donna still offers the brainbot a quizzical look. When Roxanne arrives, however, she's quickly distracted from that and instead gives her a sympathetic smile.

"That," she says, looking at the cast, "does not look like much fun. But happy new year to you, too."

She holds up the confections to display them, grinning a bit more wryly this time. "Sugar, I think, is the proper substitute for dancing."
