"You don't get it," he said to 'Cassie.' "I'm not going to ask you to betray anyone. I'm giving you the chance to save your people."
He paused for effect, then plowed in. "Didn't they brief you before sending you in? You ought to know the history of this place. Every enemy that tries to burn this City loses. Demons, terrorists, supervillains, the living dead, it doesn't matter. They all lose, badly."
He began to pace back and forth, stalking the subject. "You and I both know you aren't going to play hide-and-seek forever. This is leading up to a fight. What you need to understand is that you can't win that fight, and when it happens, a lot of Skrulls are going to die. You might be an alien, but I'm assuming that's something you care about."
