Feel my blood enraged
WHO: Jack Bauer, Seras Victoria, Joel Weinberg
WHERE: Police Superjail lobby
WHEN: Backdated to after this post.
WARNINGS: Probable violence
SUMMARY: Possible Skrull weaponry has been found in Seras Victoria's office. It's almost certain that one of the C.P.D's Import officers has been replaced. Not knowing who to trust, Jack sets a trap.
FORMAT: Paragraph
No matter how many times Jack experienced it, betrayal never stopped hurting. The sudden, wrenching shock of the reveal, or the slow, sick buildup of suspicion or uncertainty, it always led to the same place: more people lost, one way or another. This time it was worse, because if Seras was a Skrull then she hadn't betrayed him, he'd let her down. The real Seras was a prisoner somewhere, with almost anything imaginable being done to her.
But what if things weren't as they seemed? What if there was another reason for the Skrull weapon being in the station- if it was a Skrull weapon? There were too many unknowns, and Jack couldn't afford to take any chances. The safety of the entire City was at stake.
Jack checked his sidearm once last time, then nodded to the SWAT Sergeant he'd brought along. "Remember, keep your team out of sight until I give the signal. Don't forget her senses are superhuman." The Sergeant nodded back and went off to get his team into position.
Jack and Joel would meet Seras in the spacious, frighteningly white and clean lobby of the Superjail. The SWAT shooterswould be hanging back upstairs, waiting to emerge on the second-floor balcony overlooking the room. Jack had it all planned out: he would stand behind the reception desk in case he needed cover. He would tell Seras the necessary lies, give Joel an excuse to approach and engage her.
Then he would spring the trap, point weapons at his friends, and put them in a cell. And they would find out what was what and who was who.
