If the sound of Vash's voice hadn't been so grating on his nerves, Knives actually might have laughed at note of incredulity in his tone. That was just like his brother - always shooting off at the mouth before actually thinking about what he was saying. He'd expected as much, though, so it wasn't surprising, just annoyingly familiar.
