SUMMARY: eridan is in jail. people smuggle him scones.

[when eridan had thought of a human incarceration hive - and since the punishment for every crime had been death in alternia, he'd only recently gotten a good entirely pop culture-based idea of what one of those was in the first place - he'd thought of... well, a big gladiator pit. sure, they kept the lawbreakers in their pens, but with so many dangerous individuals grouped together it had to be one gigantic bloodbath, particularly when they had superpowers. just had to be. and when he was on his way to said establishment, he'd imagined his already habitual sleep deprivation would give him some kind of edge - he'd have to keep his eyes open at all times, eat with his back to the wall, watch his flank everywhere else, check his food for razor blades. the normal stuff any self-respecting flarp champion would do anyway.
so far he'd found prison very boring.
sure, they might end up transferring him to nohope or somewhere if he ended up getting himself attacked too many times - and eddie had kicked enough of a fit when he'd proposed nohope in the first place, so it was probably a bad idea to end up there - but he hadn't even had one attempt on his life yet. or a single razor blade in his food, and he'd really been looking forward to proving how totally justified his paranoia was. he'd almost ended up wishing quentin would get caught and tossed in with him, just to liven things up. (and then immediately felt kind of terrible.) and then kind of didn't, actually, since he was passably sure he and quentin could take over the prison if they really tried.
he did, however, look forward to visiting hours. bothering people over the network had quickly grown tired and uninteresting, and companionable conversation partners willing to acknowledge how much better at everything he was than them were understandably difficult to find on the inside.]
