SUMMARY: Everyone else is in Venezuela. Salem and Remi stayed at home to rob a bank.

[Things Remington has done since his arrival in the city: Learn about Earth money. Steal Earth money. Steal a lot of Earth money.
Things Remington has not done: Find a suitable Shushu substitute to spend all the money on, and then steal the money back. Made friends. Entertained even the idea of making friends.
So Salem is just an acquaintance, and now, a coworker. They happen to have very similar interests, like ruling the world, and stealing things, and women. Mostly Remi is thinking that the climb to the top will be a lot easier with someone who knows things like that gobballs are called "sheep" here. And as soon as he's at the top, well, it'll be that much easier to kick him off and wave goodbye when he falls.
