[ If Minako's words held any truth to them, then it's only a matter of days before Archer will make his return. Which mean she can spend less time feeling sorry forherself him and more time on improving her home. The basic furnishings bother her; they were of poor quality and more importantly, not fit for the Tohsaka heir. Having been spoiled in her own manner with sheets with a high thread count and wood perfectly carved in every inch of her western-style home, this was a rude awakening. Not that it was hard for a magi to change the appearance of things. With a few reagents found outside in nature and a prick of her blood, she was able to shape the design of things to be more aesthetically pleasing.
Well, to the point of removing scratches and dents made by any previous tenants or poor movers.
Things like higher quality bedding and electronics from an earlier era will have to wait. Already she's scheming in her mind how to make Archer pay for a renovation (survivor's guilt, making her return home without a 'date' in tow, or how about when he ignored her hint to dance with her), because he was going to return.
Funny how that was the thing on her mind instead of thoughts along the line of "will he return missing an arm?" because that might be strange. They might have to go to Fuyuki City and borrow Shirou's instead; not that her dumb apprentice needed it compared to her Archer. Then again, it might look silly for the next few months. Tanning during the winter was a thing that couldn't happen easily.
It's a good thing she's kept herself busy instead of falling victim to her idle imagination, isn't it? The door to her apartment is open slightly, having been seemingly left open after a small trip outside. Having lived in the security of boundary fields in a big house that rarely got visitors left her with the poor habit of not double checking these things. There's nothing on the stove (her appetite's gone, but not that she's going to admit to that) and her communicator vibrates away in a smaller trash bin as the sound remains muffled under a bunch of wadded up paper. A sign that she's still not ready to learn about the network even if it's effective in spreading information. Or in the case of today? Useful for spying on the dead. Maybe then she wouldn't be sprawled out on a couch lazily and instead might be sipping away daintily at tea like a lady who expects company should behave.
Archer will return to her soon enough. She's had a few days to sort out how to react once face to face with her Servant again. How to dismiss every little tear she certainly didn't weep for him. Why she's even hardened her knuckles with the right amount of reinforcement magic to hurt him, but not quite shatter his jaw.Could she reach up high enough. These fists were ready to accentuate her screams of rage. She fears how the reality will turn out however.
And yet, those hands that have longed so much will want to reach out specifically for him.
And yet, those hands that have braved so much will never hold anything. ]
