He jumped a little bit when he heard the man. Honestly, he hadn't been expecting someone to show up while he was talking to to the stray. At least the stranger wasn't a monster.

"Uh, I just," he said as he stood up a little straighter and pointed down the alley,"there's a dog back there. I-I scared him a little bit, but I really need to get him out of there. I don't know what'll happen if he stays. I'm just, I'm worried since a lot of animals are being killed."

He gulped a little bit and looked down the alley again. He could hear the dog moving farther back and for a moment whined since he could tell the brown dog was getting himself underneath something and it probably wasn't something easy to move.

"Oh, he's going to get stuck in there and get hurt and I'm the one who made go back there. Auuuh. I need to get him out of there."

Nervously Courage started moving back into the place, looking around at everything like he was expecting something to go wrong. He even looked back at the strange man, almost like he was expecting him to suddenly do something nasty while he had his back turned. It wasn't like he'd be shocked if he did at this point.
