hungry for a fight, and i will not let you win
WHO: Jenny Quantum and Rick Bradbury
WHERE: A park not too far from Terry and Bradbury's apartment.
WHEN: Late evening, May 11th.
WARNINGS: Pottymouths, possibly threatened violence, complicated relationships.
SUMMARY: Jenny has her powers back and she's making sure Bradbury knows it.
FORMAT: Quick.
[ it's been a relatively quiet week, and while that in itself is a small blessing, bradbury's knows better than to hope that things might stay that way. still, no more drugged food being left out for the mayor, and no one trying to invade city hall or kill his boss. he thinks he can probably count this week as a win.
of course, there was that day that his security team told him that they thought someone might have broken in, but then it turned out to be a false alarm -- or so they assumed, since there was no sign of an intruder. it just goes to show that no matter how many bells and whistles he puts on city hall's security system, there isn't ever really going to be a way to make it so it can catch everything.
regardless, at the moment, those matters are the farthest thing from his mind. he dropped mitch off at gracie mansion earlier in the evening (he contemplates the unique misery of having a job that requires him to be on-duty on all days of the week, officially or otherwise) and had his usual glass of scotch with john, so now he's on to the last part of his typical evening routine: taking terror a walk.
it's still cold enough in the evenings to make him layer up on the long sleeves and a hoodie. terror sniffs around the grass, looking for a likely spot. as he's been doing for the past ten minutes. ]
Cripes, buddy, don't let me rush you or anything. [ he sighs. it's not that bradbury particularly hates the cold or anything, but he almost swears the dog's doing this on purpose. maybe because he accidentally kicked him off the bed or something. ]
