[ It's been difficult, being patient, but Norman knows more than anything else the benefit in not rushing into things. Not that he can always refrain from impulse, but he usually knows better. It's easy not to act on impulse when he can keep a level head.
Still -- he needs all his ducks in a row, which is why he wants to talk with Rose. Before he can move himself forward, he needs to make sure his pawns are all in place as they should be. ]
