look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities
WHO: City Hall & Friends!
WHERE: Some soon-to-be-a-barren-wasteland of a campsite.
WHEN: Morning of June 8th to mid-day June 9th
WARNINGS: City Hall.
SUMMARY: A relaxing and wholesome weekend getaway, of course!
FORMAT: Tagger's choice!
By hook or by crook, Bradbury's managed to talk Mitch into letting City Hall's ImPort staff have the weekend off (if you can consider being forced to endure the company of your coworkers for a period of 36 hours with no escape as a "weekend off," anyway). Call time is at five in the morning, and it takes about two hours by charter bus to get them to the camping site he's picked out. It's honestly a miracle no one dies before they get there, and it's the same bus that'll take them back so they're back in the City by the afternoon of the 9th.
There isn't really anything specific planned for the trip except firm instructions to not wander off and die in the woods or drown in the lake, and provide your own entertainment. Just in case, Bradbury's on standby with a first-aid kit and a lecture.
Not too many other locals are around -- likely because of the weather, which is overcast and regretfully prone to light showers, or maybe because they're doing more fun things this summer. On the bright side, there are working bathrooms, so nobody has to worry about getting poison ivy rashes in any unfortunate places, right?
To be fair, the campsite a fairly nice place. How long it stays that way, on the other hand, is a different story altogether.
