Not too long after she and Helena hung up she headed straight over. Although her body whined in exhaustion, she pushed herself onward. She took a quick shower back at her place and then grabbed her bike and rode on over to Helena's place. Her head pounded all the way and she was beginning to regret not popping a Tylenol before she was at the doorstep. Not sure if Damian was living with her and not wanting to disturb the neighbors, she knocked on the door and steeled herself for the oncoming conversation.
She didn't want it have come out this way, but Renee's arrival and Dent springing on her again had forced her hand. Helena deserved the truth, but Kate wanted it to be at her own pace.
Anxiety actually gripped her. Was Helena going to be upset? Only one way to find out.
