some had scars and some had scratches
WHO: HARVEY DENT and YOU.
WHERE: NOHoPE.
WHEN: Tuesday (17th) to Sunday (22nd)
WARNINGS: ??
SUMMARY: Visiting hours!! Or various other hospital things.
FORMAT: Tagger's choice.
[ It hasn't been long since he was arrested, but Harvey's been well-behaved. He does as he's told, he takes his pills, and he reads and sleeps a lot. Therapy hasn't been productive in that mostly he's been unresponsive so far, uncommunicative and sullen, but it's an improvement from his usual tendency to provoke his doctors.
How long this'll last remains to be seen, but for now-- well, some doctors might note it as the "down" cycle in a manic-depressive. For those that know Harvey, though, they might recognize that his mood shifts aren't necessarily just chemical-based. Any visitors shouldn't expect too much energy from him... at least not at first.
But Harvey's emotions are easy ones to provoke. ]

Perhaps, at another time, she would have tried to reason with him to obtain information. But now? She doesn't even consider the idea. With a glare, she turns from his cell to walk away.
She takes a few steps before halting as a thought occurs to her. A long pause passes, and when she finally speaks, she doesn't turn around to face him. ]
Why? [ She isn't asking about Kate's death; they've conducted the investigation, already know what happened. ]
[ Her voice is low, barely concealing the disgust she feels. ] Why did you out me? Why did you frame me for murder?
[ After the mercy she's shown him, how could he destroy her life in such a cruel way? Although she's considered the possibilities, none of them made sense. Not that she expected logic from his actions.
"You still have me, remember?" Was that the reason? Out of his twisted obsession, he wanted to leave her with nothing but him? ]

Eventually, everyone comes to hate him.
When she stops, he also stops, frozen for a moment. The question catches him the most off-guard, even more than her tone of voice. ]
Because-- [ He sits forward, looking at her. ] You know why, don't you?
It was the only way.

Why did you flip for it?
Did you believe I'd love you if I had nothing left? You knew I was gay. You thought destroying my life would change that?!

Renee.
[ He looks at her, the good side of his face tense, frowning as the bad side sneers away as it always does. ]
Don't do this.

Don't do what? Demand answers? After everything you've put me through, you just want me to shut up about it?
no subject
I didn't want you to leave.
[ He exhales, clenching his fingers against his palm and standing. He walks back over to his bed, not facing the glass. ]

This is the future that awaits her.
And there isn't a damn thing she can do about it.
She exhales gruffly, the revulsion clear on her expression. Without another word, she stalks out the door. ]
