WHO: Midnighter; open to anyone else that'd like to have a random encounter with him.
WHERE: Some bar.
WHEN: Idk tonight I guess.
WARNINGS:None yet. Edited for discussions of violence.
SUMMARY: Midnighter, chilling at a bar – and no, it’s not a gay bar.
FORMAT: Started with paragraph, but I’m flexible. If you want to do quicklog or something go for it.
The bar was a loud and rowdy place, and clad in black leather from head to toe, Midnighter stuck out like a sore thumb. Subtlety, thy name is not - but blending in with the rest of society had never been his top priority in life, and he didn't see much of a reason to change that here in this world. He might have looked out of place, but he certainly didn't look like he gave a damn about it.
Sitting in a bar with an untouched bottle while observing all of the shady types was never as entertaining or satisfying as much as repeatedly hitting them in the face a dozen times with that bottle or a barstool was, but right now - most of the assholes present seemed content with giving him his space. If someone wanted to pick a fight with him, he'd be more than happy to oblige the asshole, but for now - Midnighter was fine with leaving them be. The crowd he had come to check out was more or less filled with a bunch of loud mouthed bastards - nothing particularly interesting in the shady department outside of that.
He was just about ready to leave anyway - to either head back to the place he shared with Apollo or maybe patrol the area a bit after he left, though the night seemed like a tame one. Which was a pity.
Since the past four years, prowling through the streets alone for trouble became something that he grew used to doing again. Sure, in this case he wasn’t out picking off psychopathic super villains or dictators hell bent on genocide, but there was still something utterly satisfying about terrorizing the regular sorts of lowlifes on the street that commit themselves to making it difficult for the folks just passing by.
“They never are worth as much trouble as they think they are,” He muttered to himself.
