Good morning, welcome to strangeness...
WHO: Sarah and John Connor and one Kyle Reese
WHERE: St. George's
WHEN: This morning after last night's arrival.
WARNINGS: Connor family angst, which occasionally involves guns, but probably not this time.
SUMMARY: Sarah thinks the night before was just a horrible hallucination. John gets to tell her otherwise... and then Kyle shows up.
FORMAT: Parawhatever.
Sarah didn't really remember much from the day before, kidnapping the doctor, going to the motel, then... something happened. Something different, something... wrong. And as she drifted in and out of drug-hazed sleep, she tried to put it together but it fell apart every time. She'd had more lucid episodes on the drugs back in Pescadero.
As she slowly woke up, she realized she was in the hospital... again. The memory of telling Cameron no hospitals tried to bubble up, but that was wrong, wasn't it? Cameron was with John, and both of them were back in LA... weren't they?
She blinked her eyes a few times against the light and began to struggle to get up. She had to get out. Hospitals weren't safe.

"You're keeping an eye on her though? Machine or human, she shouldn't be wandering about she's too dangerous."
no subject
"You should get some rest, mom."
no subject
"I will, but John? Call your father, I think... I think I owe him an apology for last night." At the very least.

Enter Kyle, on his telephone and still conversing with John on the phone. Oh, hey. There's John in person. "I knew you better than Derek. Beers once a year does not trump seven years in Hell. Believe me." Have a look, John.
And have a bright smile, Sarah. "'morning."

He looks over his mother. "I'm not going far."

It felt like reality shifted to the left and Sarah had to remind herself that, yes, this was real and the man smiling at her really was...
"Kyle."
She didn't look at him long before turning to acknowledge John with a tense nod.

That, he's sure of. "You can look in my book, if you want. For this." Turning back to Sarah and sitting down.

She swallowed hard, looking at the man sitting next to her. He'd barely aged a day since...
"You haven't... you still look like you did."

Her hand drifts up toward his face, unsure, but still wanting, needing to make sure he is real, that he is really there.

She rests her hand against his cheek for anther moment before moving it back down to rest on the blankets.
"I'm sorry, I just... this is a lot to take in."

She waits a moment and the answers, "He gave me the basics of this place. Porter, powers, apparently Cameron has a pulse now... it's a little..." She waves a hand in the air. "I thought time travel and terminators were hard to swallow."
no subject
A nod. "Yeah. Powers. That's how I knew you were here. It...probably would've been better if I'd known longer. But." What can you do. He shrugs. "It's a good place, for the most part. Good for all of us, I mean."

"It's like I'd imagine going crazy would be like."

Not yet.
She speaks next without thinking, her voice barely above a whisper. "I miss you."
