It's not exactly that he doesn't notice Ryan's reaction, it's just that Troy struggles to relate it to anything that's going on right now. The connection of Chad and Ryan in his head just doesn't click right now, not when he's got so much else to think about since Ryan's sudden arrival.

"Sounds like I missed all the fun," he replies with a small smile, hopping off the wall he was perched on, and turning away to squint out at the view. He likes it up on the roof. It's not the first time he's been up there. It's like a his very own city version of his tree house.

"A'ight, man. I've got like, space in my place if you need company or anything."
