All she noticed was a blur of red and white... a huge, blunt pain in her head... then darkness.

The pain stayed. And it was still there when she woke up.

Megan groaned, trying to sit up, but she felt like her head weighed a million pounds. When she raised a hand to her head, it felt something warm and slightly tacky... blood. Rapidly drying blood, which had saturated her normally radient hair.

"Mmmmrrrahgg..." she groaned again, opening her eyes. "...G-grell? Anybody? What happened?"
