[He hadn't really been able to complain when Tim had dragged him to the Tower because he wasn't entirely there, yet.

His mind is back, now, and he feels both completely stupid and useless, and just plain annoyed that he told Tim he'd be staying there until there were no traces of toxin in his blood anymore.

He hadn't planned on really listening, but he'd tried standing up and fleeing subtly not that long ago, and he'd nearly fallen because of the wave of dizziness that had attacked him. He hadn't told Tim -- although this is the infirmary and there are probably cameras -- and he'd silently agreed to really stay in bed for at least a day. And then they'd see.

He really hates staying still and having someone else take care of him.]

(OOC: You can have your char know Dick is there because Tim told them, or have it be a surprise for them, either way work :>)

Yeah, perfectly logical works fine. [Somehow, Dick's still comfortable around Gar even through what's going on. Maybe it's sad that he's still able to feel okay through dramatic circumstances. It shows he's finally getting used to it.

Although he did take a lot of time to getting used to this all.]

Are you the type of guy to get suicidal? [MORE TACT. Yup. That's a perfectly valid question to ask, though, considering...]

[It takes a few seconds for Dick to remember that Wally's from way in the past.

Way in the past when there were no DVDs, he's not sure there were VHS, and Lord of the Rings had no movie. It's really old so the books probably existed, but they're bricks and who reads these, really.

Geez, I keep forgetting you're not from now. It's -- well, I've only watched the first movie. It's some fantasy epic; magic and swords and monsters. People say it's a classic. The movies are really long. [And it shows by his tone of voice that they're really long and not captivating enough to keep Dick seated for that period of time. But that's Dick. Maybe Wally would like them, who knows.]

Anyway, there's a creepy character in there who's all obsessed by a ring.

[Well. Here was someone she wasn't expecting.]

[ He gets a sharp kind of laughter out of that. ] Not really, no. I mean... My life's sucked pretty badly before, so I would've done it already if I was gonna.

[Oh. His... alternate-daughter. And she doesn't look like she was expecting him to be there. He can go along with that. He was expecting some people to just stumble in, eventually.]

Hey? [And because it seems like something to say right away:] Tim's the one who wants me to stay in bed for at least another day.

I don't even know if it'd stick here. With all the people not staying dead...

[Dick's relieved, either way. To his knowledge, people came back when they got killed. Every single one of them. Maybe killing yourself wouldn't work that way.]

You'd think heroes would have a high suicide rate with all the crappy lives spreading around, but -- have you ever heard of anyone doing that? Not to save the world, I mean.

[Lalala, man he sucks at cheering people up. He's talking about suicide now. He leans back against the headboard, closing up a bit.] Now's when you should probably find another topic to talk about.

Huh, sounds interesting. [He's not sure how long 'long' is though and if he'd even have the patience to stay put and watch it.]

Then again all movies here are kind of a novelty to me. [He may be used to it all by now but the technology will probably never stop impressing him.]

So, why is he obsessed with a ring?

[He's not sure if Wally's serious or not about it sounding interesting. He's leaning more toward 'yes' than 'no'.

He takes a few bites of his sandwich and lets crumbs fall on the bed by accident, that he simply swipes off so they fall on the ground when he sees them.]

Everyone is obsessed by the ring in the movie -- it's sort of the whole idea. It's magical and super powerful and everyone wants it while the group of good guys is trying to get rid of it.
