Can't read my, can't read my, no he can't read my poker face

WHO: [livejournal.com profile] miraclefusion and [livejournal.com profile] scoopscope
WHERE: The MAC. Carley's apartment!
WHEN: Some time on Monday.
WARNINGS: Get out. No. The only warning is my love of Gaga.
SUMMARY: Juudai and Carley are going to play some card games ON MOTORCYCLES.
FORMAT: Paragraph sounds peachy keen

Carley had a few decks. Her beloved deck, her fortune fairies, were sitting in front of her. She'd drawn Hu for today's fortune, which wasn't a bad card to draw considering. She also had her playing cards. If anything, they could play black jack or poker, or something like that. Last time she'd shown someone her cards, she'd been told how her strategy was pretty bad. It was true, it wasn't a good playing strategy, but she didn't expect to ever be a good duelist. It would be nice if she could, but she'd rather tell the story, not be the story.

She shuffled her own deck idly while she waited for Juudai. She could do with some more friends, here, too.

why you do this!!!!!!

Juudai loved to duel, sure, but card games were card games no matter what, he supposed... even if regular playing cards didn't have the spiritual impact that Duel Monsters had, at least not in his opinion. Still, they were a way to pass the time, weren't they? So, striding up to her door a floor or two away from his own room, he knocked and called out to her.

"Carleyyyyy! It's me, Juudai!"

"Hey." Juudai waved casually, entering her apartment. It wasn't much different from his own in layout, which wasn't particularly surprising -- it was the MAC, after all. He leaned against a wall and eyed the cards with a small smile as Carley fiddled with them. "So, card games. What're you up for first?"

"Sounds like a plan, then." Juudai pulled a chair over from off to the side and situated it, and himself, in front of the coffee table. He removed his deck from the holder on his belt and started shuffling slowly. "We'll just do a tabletop duel to start with, I guess. No need for the fancy stuff right now. Anyway, you care who goes first?"
