WHERE: the Control Tower's laundry room
WHEN: whenever
WARNINGS: none
SUMMARY: Laundry day! But laundry is boring. See how Cass livens it up.
FORMAT: whatever you like!
She's always found something a little soothing about laundry. It's the act of making something clean again, after all, and everything gets warm and smells nice... then again, maybe she's just getting old. Babs tucks a strand of hair behind her ear and pretends she's focused on her laptop and that she isn't watching the girls. She'd definitely wondered how they would get along, but Cass and Steph had been friends despite the odds, so why not Cass and Charlie?

On the other hand, she was lazy. So she wanted her clothing to get from dirty to clean without any intervening step. But...she knew it wasn't going to happen (at least, not yet), so she was helping out.
At the moment she was amusing herself by throwing socks over-hand into the washer, like basketballs. Most of them missed. Whenever one didn't miss she went "Hah! Go me!" before throwing another.

She watched with obvious boredom as Charlie tossed the socks, before finally reaching plucking one of them out of mid-air with impressive speed. It wasn't any substitute for training, but... hmm... training...
The laundry room wasn't big enough for actual sparring, but there was enough room to practice individual moves, at least. She took a step back and tossed the sock the side. "Kick me," she stated suddenly, motioning for Charlie to give it her best shot.

Probably, she admitted to herself, she should stop thinking about them like they were chimpanzees in the wild. But that's the way she felt about teenagers sometimes. At least this was going better than the meeting of boys.

"You want me to kick you?" She finally asked, stepping over to stand in front of the girl. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not as good as you but I can totally give out a heck of a lot of dark vengeance, are you sure you want me to kick you?"

She turned back to Charlie, not really looking very concerned at all about being on the receiving end of her dark vengeance. Maybe she would be pleasantly surprised and find that Canary had taught her a few things with the Birds of Prey. Or not.

Kicks weren't, for obvious reasons, Barbara's specialty anymore, so this should be interesting.
"She can take a lot," Babs interjected, straightening her glasses.

She seemed uncertain for a moment, but then she stepped forward and just did a straight side-kick right at Cassandra...pretty much as hard as she could. Charlie was odd, but she wasn't really stronger than a normal person. Well, a normal person who beat people up for a living.

As Charlie kicked, Cass leaned backward, allowing the attack to pass harmlessly above her. As the kick reached its peak, Cass pushed up on Charlie's extended leg and swept a foot behind her stationary one to push her over into a laundry basket full of dirty clothes.
"Be faster. Not stronger," she instructed. If she could get to where she could actually hit Cass, then they could work on strength.

"I am fast," she muttered, moving to stand before Cass again. This time she dropped down and twisted around to try kicking out the former Batgirl's feet.

Turning her attention back to Charlie as she landed, a smirk crossed her face. "This fast?" She dropped to the ground and performed the same move as Charlie, just... faster. Her leg shot out in a blur of motion intended to put her opponent right back in the laundry basket.
