Moving Day [COMPLETE]

WHO: Hiruma Youichi, Anezaki Mamori, Axel.
WHERE: Hiruma's schfancy apartment.
WHEN: January 25th
WARNINGS: None~!
SUMMARY: Hiruma and Mamori get a new room mate, which neither of them know. Hiruma is a ballsy bastard.
FORMAT: Quicklog probably!

Hiruma couldn't say why he'd offered a complete stranger a room in his apartment. A whim? A random idea? Maybe he just wanted a random variable thrown into his calculations. The extra cash would always be nice. Hiruma didn't really care about money, but money was a necessary evil. He had to eat, after all, and with the Joker thinning the herd of thugs and mob bosses, it was getting harder to make a profit from his rather seedy poker games.

Whatever the reason, he'd done it, so there was really no turning back now.

"OI!" he wrapped his knuckles on Mamori's door, "MANAGER! We're getting a new room mate, so don't be fucking naked!" The teen returned to his chair in the main room, the coffee table strewn with papers and photos and all sort of things that needed to be sorted into their proper places on his computer and in the infamous Devil's Handbook.

Mamori, for one thing, was convinced that Hiruma had found himself simply bored. That this ridiculous flight of fancy was simply his way of... expressing some rather unhealthy urges for chaos in his life in a far more conducive-to-normalcy way.

All right.

She could deal with this.

There were, of course, certain things set in place, she hoped, like the form of a roommate agreement. Certain things... like the bathroom. She wanted to keep her own damn bathroom to herself. Not to mention that now she had another boy to clean up after.

Sighing, she got up off the bed and brushed off her lap, setting the book aside and walking out the door to where Hiruma was.

"I don't want to know what you were thinking," she chastised in her typical way, shaking her head at him all the while.

It took Axel a while to find the apartment. Sure, the city was fairly easy to navigate, but he took his time getting there, teaching himself street names and getting the lay of the land.

It never hurt to know your surroundings.

When he was good and ready, Axel stood in front of the directed apartment, and rapped firmly on the door.

"Oh for the love of god, I'm not your maid!" she went on, mumbling under her breath irritatedly for god knows how long, walking to the door to swing it open and smile at the newcomer pleasantly, however strange this new person might be.

This was bound to be interesting, yes, but Mamori would never be the kind to be a bad hostess.

Never.

"Oh, hello, you must be the new roommate Hiruma mentioned. I'm Mamori, it's good to meet you!" With that, she stuck out her hand with a kind smile.

"Yo," he said, smiling back at the girl who opened the door to him. "The name's Axel," he said, taking her hand and shaking it once, firmly.

He glanced over her shoulder into the apartment, waiting to be let in. Didn't mean he couldn't admire the place... and they certainly did have some nice digs. Expensive rent was worth it, it would seem.

With himself around, Hiruma had to never run out of entertainment. Mamori was convinced of the fact.

Rolling her eyes at Hiruma, she stepped back and held the door open for Axel, nodding at him once before closing the door after him, disappearing into the kitchen to see what she might offer him.

Of course the place was nice, Hiruma had acquired it. Naturally it was spacious and tasteful-- as long as one didn't enter Hiruma's rooms. Then it took on an entirely new aura, really.

"Ignore him, he's very funny to himself," she brushed off, shaking her head. "Whenever you're done with the tour, anything I can get you to eat or drink?"

"Nah, I'm good for now," Axel replied to Mamori, stepping over the threshold and continuing to survey the place. "Nice," he said appreciatively.

Oh, Hiruma didn't know how fitting that nickname was, did he? Of course, Hiruma sure was one to make cracks about HAIR. STill, with a wicked grin and a rather startling appearance, Axel figured he'd either become good friends with Hiruma... or hate his guts. Time would tell.

"Tour sounds nice," he said, sticking his hands into the pockets of his long coat. Wasn't it polite to take your coat off when you entered someone's house? Axel was so used to wearing the thing that it didn't even occur to him.

He had to take his boots off? Weird. Still, better to respect their rules than to go hunting for a new house... or back to that shitty MAC building. Axel bent down and pulled the knee-high boots off, as well as the well-worn socks underneath, and set them by the door. He padded after Hiruma barefoot.

The tour was brief, which worked. And the room Axel was assigned to seemed nice enough. Even sharing a bathroom for a month, if it was free, was okay with Axel.

He shrugged noncomittally at the conclusion. "Not really, seems simple enough. Guess all I want to know now is where and what I have to do to get a job, or buy new clothes. That sort of thing."

"I am not afraid of cooties," Mamori shot back at Hiruma, preparing herself a cup of green tea. Of course she could hear them from the kitchen, the idea that she couldn't, especially with her bastard-senses always out and tingling, was absurd. Really.

"Hiruma-kun, I don't know if you hanging around the mafia like that is a good idea." Just a suggestion, really-- she hung around Hiruma and Mello, too, didn't she? Did that make her an idiot by association?

Perhaps.

Sighing, she took her freshly brewed cup and went to sit in the living room. "I'd prefer it if you stayed out of my room and that bathroom, too," she said a bit off-handedly. "By the way, there's a fresh pot of coffee on the counter for you, Hiruma-kun."

He nodded at their instructions, taking it all in. "Can't really cook, but I do pick up after myself." He also nodded when Mamori told him to stay out of her room. "Fine and well, and if I can be so bold as to ask you to stay out of mine, well."

He then gave the two of them a smug smile. "Well then, if you kids don't mind, I'm gonna run back to the MAC and grab some of the stuff I saw in there, like a toothbrush and so on." He saluted the two, and in a puff of purple and black smoke, vanished into thin air.

In a few seconds, he reappeared at the threshold of the apartment. "Forgot my boots," he explained, before vanishing again.

"Privacy goes without saying," she said rather pleasantly. Please. She lived with Hiruma, privacy was the name of the game.

"And yes, that sounds good to me--"

It did strike her as mildly surprising, however, and she smiled after him for a moment. "That's useful," she commented, getting up off the couch when she finished the cup, setting it in the sink.

"Taking a bath," she announced as if to say please don't disturb, disappearing into the bathroom without any more words. Well. That had gone fairly well. Hiruma should be pleased with himself. No bitching for him on this end.
