i was on my way to work when i realized i'm wasted
WHO: A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE
WHERE: Here, there, everywhere.
WHEN: Anytime from 6:00 PM to the wee hours of the morning; feel free to tag in with a specific time in your subject header.
SUMMARY: Chronos and Vector are failures and half the City goes apeshit!
It's been a lovely, warm, sunny day in the City, winding into a nice warm afternoon that definitely doesn't feel like the first day of Fall. As the sun gets lower and lower in the sky, however, something goes wrong. It's a very discreet malfunction, and even people in the general area probably won't notice it; what they will notice, however, are the temporal shockwaves emanating from the malfunctioning device.
Not to mention the eventual effects of those shockwaves. Is that man standing in the middle of the crosswalk with a lampshade on his head? Where did he even find a lampshade?

"I don't..." He shook his head and tried to look a little less panicked. "How do you know my name?"
no subject
No. No don't panic, maybe it was just... a really random question?

He shook his head again and reached up to cover the red mark on his face. He couldn't say there was something wrong, that would be stupid, but he could trust these guys, right? "I don't...I don't know what's going on..."

Had to keep calm, for Kiryuu's sake, had to--
"You-- you don't remember?" he asked, voice shaking a little. Inside, part of him was raging. Something had made his brother forget. Something had made his brother forget him.
His hands had clenched tight at his sides without him realizing.

He made a face and tried again. "You sure you don't remember us? Bakura, Alastair?" He gestured to each of them in turn. "Your roommates?" He almost added your boyfriend, but he was trying not to be offended by being forgotten. "I don't know what's going on here but we're your friends."
no subject
"I'm sorry," he finally murmured. "I believe you, I've just...I've never seen you before. I've never seen this-" he gestured vaguely at the bathroom- "before. And I look really weird..."
And wait, had he said-- "Wait, Bakura, like the Battle City duelist Bakura?"

He paused, blinking at Kiryuu's question, giving a very faint and awkward smile as he rubbed his cheek. Like deja vu... He had almost forgotten that that had been Kiryuu's reaction. Idly he wondered if this was what Ben felt every time. "U--un," he nodded.
no subject
"It's okay. C'mon, just...sit down and take a minute. Hey, Bakura - are you making dinner yet?"
no subject
"All right..." He didn't really want to keep looking in the mirror anymore anyway. It was too unnerving.

Unfortunately, snuggling was probably out. No touching until he was in his right mind, Alastair decided.

"Are we in the city?" he asked after a moment. He didn't really want to be in the city, but since he'd thought he'd only ever be there as a prisoner, this wasn't too bad.
no subject
"How much-- how much do you remember...?" he asked timidly.

He paused before sitting down next to Alastair, but the couch wasn't really anything special. Weird. "We were about to leave the hideout to catch some stragglers in Zone L," he said after a moment, though he wondered if they'd have any clue what that meant. "Crow was whining like usual. Then I was here."
no subject
"Not Neo-Domino. Not even in Japan, or in a world were Domino existed," he tried to explain.
Almost as if sensing his distress, Pelor padded out of Bakura's room and started nuzzling against his leg for attention. Bakura couched down to pick her up, stroking her gently to keep himself calm.

"You feel okay, otherwise? I mean, no issues or anything..."

He reached up to touch his cheek again. It looked like a criminal marker, but it was the wrong color...
"What's the Porter?"

He felt the need to check the comm even more strongly now, but he didn't want to leave Kiryu either. Still, maybe he could contact Saitou and tell him to hurry home...
if he tries healing, he won't find anything wrong :)
Good to know :)
The glow spread out across Kiryuu's arms, smoothing over the scratches that showed he and Aome still weren't on the best terms. But that was all that he could find that was anything he could fix. Everything else felt just the same as it had after the last time he had healed him.
Slowly, he pulled back, eyes blinking open as he went to rub his forehead slightly. It was always so much harder to pull back when there was nothing much to heal...
"I couldn't find anything wrong. It's all the same as it was before."
