i was on my way to work when i realized i'm wasted
WHO: A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE
WHERE: Here, there, everywhere.
WHEN: Anytime from 6:00 PM to the wee hours of the morning; feel free to tag in with a specific time in your subject header.
SUMMARY: Chronos and Vector are failures and half the City goes apeshit!
It's been a lovely, warm, sunny day in the City, winding into a nice warm afternoon that definitely doesn't feel like the first day of Fall. As the sun gets lower and lower in the sky, however, something goes wrong. It's a very discreet malfunction, and even people in the general area probably won't notice it; what they will notice, however, are the temporal shockwaves emanating from the malfunctioning device.
Not to mention the eventual effects of those shockwaves. Is that man standing in the middle of the crosswalk with a lampshade on his head? Where did he even find a lampshade?

Then he started coughing. And, er, rambling. "It hurts. A lot. I mean, I guess naturally coming apart at the cellular level would be painful, but... wow. I forgot it hurt this much."

If the last actual conversation she had with Reilly turned out to have ended with her telling him to leave...May shook her head sharply. It wasn't going to happen. He was just being his normal, dramatic self. If even his drama usually involved hiding any weakness instead of this.
They were almost there. Just had to keep him talking.
"What are you talking about? How is that even possible?"

He honestly had no idea where they were going by now. Everything was kind of starting to blur together. It was only May's voice keeping him together, so if he had to keep needling her to hear it, he would.
"I'm talking about clone degeneration, stupid. Don't tell me you weren't wondering why Kaine had all those scars on his face."

She could see the place, but from the feel of it Reilly wasn't noticing much of anything at the moment.
"You said it happened before and it stopped? Why the heck start back up now?"
[[OOC: sooo...for the clinic, want to rope someone in or handwave NPC?]]

Then he was quiet for a while. Not sure what to say or really having the strength to say it.
"I'm glad you're here," he whispered.

"You're gonna be fine. I mean, we're probably the same radioactive blood type and everything, right?"
May hoped she sounded a lot more reassuring and less scared than she felt as she took them down, not bothering with any waiting and taking him directly to the back.
[[ooc: handwave sounds good to me! I mean, technically there's not anything actually wrong with him anyway, right?]]

Bad humor delivered badly, but he was guilty of the same. How the heck had she missed this exactly? Even Normie had spotted the resemblance, she'd just been too busy blocking it out because she'd called the guy cute-
Oh, god. She'd called her cousin cute.
The sudden appearance of the medical staff was enough to let her gloss over that particular thought as she laid him out on the waiting bed.
